Which measurement method should I choose?
Forstify offers several measurement methods — camera-based and form-based. Which one fits depends on the assortment and on whether you are capturing a pile or individual logs:
- Forstify measurement: piles of sawlogs or industrial wood in fixed lengths.
- Sectional volume: piles of any assortment.
- Photo analysis: small piles of sawlogs or industrial wood in fixed lengths.
- Form-based single-log capture: individual logs lying separately — with log number, length, mid-diameter, grade, automatic bark deduction by species, and bundled logs.
- Form-based volume capture: quantities of any kind, captured in stacked (Rm) or solid (Fm) cubic metres, with length, grade and count.
- Form-based sectional volume: manual entry of the measurement data for a sectional volume — with log length, pile width, conversion factors, automatic section widths and the individual section heights.
